Season To-Date: 3-0

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs: Denver has a more conservative offense that is designed to be ball-control oriented.  The idea is to better protect Peyton Manning and is similar to how John Elway relied on the ground game more in his latter years.  However, there is no Terrell Davis in the backfield and Denver is going to miss Julius Thomas as a pass catching tight end.  Denver struggles to score points against a fast and aggressive KC defense that can rush the quarterback.

The Broncos are for real on defense and can rush the passer and limit ground games.  This should be a tight, defensive battle.  The Chiefs have a great home-field crowd and Jamaal Charles is the most explosive running back on the field.  The Chiefs nip the Broncos.  Kansas City 20- Denver 17.

Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers: The Packers have had this game circled on their schedule since the NFC Championship.  Aaron Rodgers is healthy and still has plenty of targets even with the loss of Jordy Nelson.  Seattle’s secondary is not the same with no Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas working his way back after shoulder surgery.  The Seahawks’ offensive line is in transition and may struggle to open holes for Marshawn Lynch.  The Pack will want this game more than Seattle and are at home.  Green Bay 27- Seattle 17.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills: Rex Ryan did a good job defending Tom Brady and the Patriots when he coached the Jets. His Jets won a playoff game in Foxboro.  This game means a lot to the Bills and they will be playing before a raucous crowd.  Every team gets sky-high to play the champs.  The Bills have a terrific front four and a good secondary.  Tyrod Taylor is unproven in big games, but his mobility will hurt the Pats.  The Bills ride their emotional wave and defense to victory.  Buffalo 24- New England 20.
