Season To Date: 18-6

Oakland Raiders (4-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4): The Raiders are a young and talented team that clearly is on the rise.  Derek Carr is leading the way and looks like a star.  The Steelers need this game in a big way and Ben Roethlisberger should be much better this week after returning from a knee injury a week ago.  Oakland can be passed on Big Ben figures to connect often with his numerous targets.  DeAngelo Williams plays for an injured LeVeon Bell.  Williams still has some juice in his legs and can help keep Pittsburgh somewhat balanced on offense.  Steelers outscore the Raiders at home and earn an important victory in their fight for a wildcard spot.  Pittsburgh 27- Oakland 23.

St. Louis Rams (4-3) at Minnesota Vikings (5-2): The Rams are an emerging force with a sensational running back and a talented defense.  It is hard to find impact running backs in today’s pass-happy NFL, but Todd Gurley is exactly that.  The Rams terrific front four leads a defense that is good at every level.  Jeff Fisher waited patiently, but he finally has to like the way his team has come together.  Minnesota is playing at home and also has a bright future.  However, Minnesota’s home field is not a big advantage because the Rams are used to being inside.  Teddy Bridgewater feels the heat of the Rams’ pass rush and struggles with his consistency.  The young legs of Gurley outduels AP, the veteran.  Rams 24- Vikings 23.

Denver Broncos (7-0) at Indianapolis Colts (3-5):  Indy has done a poor job of surrounding Andrew Luck with a good offensive line and a solid defense.  Luck is a fantastic talent, but even great quarterbacks need a strong supporting cast to win a championship.  Peyton Manning has likely the best defense in the NFL backing him.  The Broncos can cover, rush the quarterback and limit ground games.  Manning should play well in his return to Indy.  The emergence of a ground game for Denver further eases the load on Manning.  Broncos 30- Colts 16.
