Season To Date: 14-12

Kansas City Chiefs (6-2) at Carolina Panthers (3-5): Alex Smith is back at quarterback for the Chiefs.  Kansas City’s terrific defense and ball-hawking secondary limit Cam Newton’s production.  The Panthers are playing better and are home, but the Chiefs win a nail-biter. Kansas City 16- Carolina 13.

Dallas Cowboys (7-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4): The Steelers backs are to the wall after dropping three straight games.  Ben Roethlisberger will have a big game against a Dallas defense that does not pressure the quarterback and is banged-up in the secondary.  Pittsburgh is at home and needs this game much more than Dallas does.  Steelers 27- Cowboys 20.

Seattle Seahawks (5-2-1) at New England Patriots (7-1): Seattle is still very good on defense, but lack the cornerback depth to significantly slow down New England’s terrific offense.  This is the type of game where the Seahawks need to run the ball to help limit New England’s number of possessions.  Seattle does not run the ball well and Tom Brady has another good game.  Patriots 27- Seahawks 17.
