Season To Date:1-2

New York Giants (0-1) at Dallas Cowboys (0-1): The Cowboys stated this off-season that they did not need a clear number one receiver and they were making a Dak friendly offense. The reality is the Cowboys have a bunch of pedestrian receivers that do not threaten a defense.  Plus, Dak Prescott is not a good downfield passer. The result is an offense that produces few chunk plays and is not explosive.  The Giants had opportunities to beat Jacksonville.  They have a lot of explosive playmakers on offense.  Eli Manning is past his prime, but still can make good downfield throws.  It will help that New York’s offensive line will not be facing Jacksonville’s top defensive front. The Giants superior skill position talent outscores a struggling Dallas offense.

Giants 24- Cowboys 17.

Miami Dolphins (1-0) at New York Jets (1-0): Sam Darnold’s terrific poise in week 1 was a big story. However, New York’s fast and attacking defense was even more impressive.  Todd Bowles has the outstanding secondary that he has been looking for to turn his defense loose.  Ryan Tannehill is the next quarterback that Gang Green handles. Darnold’s steady hand guides the Jets to victory over their AFC East rival.

Jets 24- Dolphins 20.

Seattle Seahawks (0-1) at Chicago Bears (0-1): Seattle’s offensive line has another difficult match-up as Khalil Mack, Leonard Floyd and company figure to win the line of scrimmage battle.  The Bears should do a solid job defending the run as well.  Mitch Trubisky can lean on his running game as he learns Chicago’s new offense.  Seattle does not rush the quarterback well and that should help Chicago’s young quarterback have a decent game.  There is only so much that Russell Wilson can do and Doug Baldwin being out certainly doesn’t help.

Bears 23- Seahawks 17.
