Season To Date: 2-4

New York Giants (0-2) at Houston Texans (0-2): The Giants and Texans are both desperate for a win. The loser of this game falls to 0-3 and it’s highly unlikely to reach the playoffs with such a terrible start. New York’s remade offensive line has communication issues and is not run or pass blocking well.  Eli Manning badly needs a grinding ground game to take the load off of him.

Houston has a solid run defense and force Manning to make big plays to produce points.  Deshaun Watson is starting to play better and the return of Will Fuller will help him even more.  Watson has a good day as the Giants lack a strong pass rush.

Texans 20- Giants 16.

Dallas Cowboys (1-1) at Seattle Seahawks (0-2): Dallas has the superior offensive and defensive line. They also have the best running back on the field.  Seattle’s offensive line remains suspect and is now banged up.  Doug Baldwin remains out and the Cowboys’ secondary matches up well with Seattle’s wide receivers.  The Hawks will get a boost from returning home, but Seattle is clearly in a rebuilding stage.

Cowboys 17- Seahawks 16.

San Francisco 49ers (1-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (2-0): This should be a shootout between two young gunslinger quarterbacks.  Patrick Mahomes has the better supporting cast than Jimmy Garoppolo does.  It’s Kansas City’s home opener and Tyreek Hill and company should be flying.

The 49ers cannot keep up with Andy Reid’s explosive offense.

Chiefs 35- 49ers 30.
